The Chilean star was the No.1-rated amateur in the world in 2017-18, and raced to the highest level of the game after turning pro. By April 2022 he had recorded nine worldwide wins across multiple tours and was ranked 15th in the world. Niemann also shone in the 2022 LIV Golf Invitational Series, with top-five finishes in Boston, Bangkok and Jeddah, while finishing seventh in the Individual Champion points list.
