MIAMI – Captain Joaquin Niemann shot a brilliant bogey-free 6-under 66 in Sunday’s Finals at the LIV Golf Team Championship, as his Torque GC finished in third place.

With all four scores counting on the final day of the 2023 season, Torque posted a cumulative total of 6 under. The winning team, Crushers GC, finished at 11 under while RangeGoats GC took second place at 9 under.

Niemann had one of his most impressive rounds of the season on the difficult Blue Monster course at Trump National Doral. But the rest of the lineup was collectively even par.

David Puig had the next lowest round at 1 under 71, while Sebastián Muñoz parred his final 11 holes to finish at even-par 72. Mito Pereira shot a 1-over 73.

Despite the disappointment of not winning the Team Championship, overall it was a wildly successful season for Torque and its revised lineup, with Muñoz and Pereira joining LIV Golf last offseason.

Torque won a league-best four team tournament titles this season and posted the lowest winning counting score of any team, shooting 49 under to win in Greenbrier.
