KING ABDULLAH ECONOMIC CITY, Saudi Arabia – Joaquin Niemann and his Torque GC team have a big opportunity this week at LIV Golf Jeddah presented by ROSHN.

Currently third in the team standings, four-time winning Torque has a chance to finish the regular season as the top seed going into next week’s Team Championship in Miami

Torque has 171 points, leaving them 17 behind league-leading 4Aces GC. Depending on how the Aces fare this week, Torque could jump to the front of the line with a top-four finish on the Jeddah leaderboard.

Also at stake is securing a first-round bye for Miami.

Torque will be guaranteed a spot in the top four that receives byes unless the RangeGoats and Stinger post high finishes and Torque struggles for points.

Meanwhile, Torque member Mito Pereira also has a chance to move into a bonus-paying third position on the Individual Champion standings.

Pereira is currently 8th in Individual points but if he wins in Jeddah while Bryson DeChambeau finishes outside the money and Patrick Reed finishes no better than third, then Pereira would jump to third place and earn the $4 million bonus.

The other members of Torque will enter Jeddah hoping to continue their impressive form.

Sebastián Muñoz finished fourth in the last LIV Golf tournament in Chicago – the third time in his last six LIV starts that he’s finished fourth in points.

Captain Joaquin Niemann was 19th in Chicago, his fifth consecutive points finish and seventh in his last eight starts.

And LIV Golf’s youngest player, David Puig, comes off his first professional win, going wire-to-wire to claim International Series Singapore on the Asian Tour.
